As Ambassador, Omo is the face of United Africa Village, welcoming guests with warmth, sharing the beauty of African traditions, and encouraging cultural understanding through friendship, leadership, and service. Her quiet confidence, grace, and positive attitude make her a remarkable representative of the Village and an inspiration to other young people.

She represents the future of United Africa Village—a future built on unity, leadership, cultural pride, and community service.
Together, Omohena (Omo) Iweneghai and Etseoghene (Etse) Iweneghai form an exceptional ambassadorial team whose dedication, enthusiasm, and love for African culture will help inspire visitors and strengthen the Village’s mission of celebrating diversity, educating the community, and building lasting cultural connections. Their leadership reflects United Africa Village’s vision of empowering young people to become confident ambassadors of African heritage and proud representatives of the community.
United Africa Village is a cultural initiative of the United African Cultural & Heritage Center (UACHC), a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting African culture, heritage, education, and community engagement throughout Ontario.
United Africa Village was created as an extension of this mission—a vibrant cultural experience that brings African traditions, music, dance, food, arts, and storytelling to life. Through our participation in the Brantford International Villages Cultural Festival, we create a welcoming space where cultures connect, communities grow, and African heritage is celebrated and shared with everyone.
As part of the Brantford International Cultural Village Festival, United Africa Village was deeply honoured to receive a special recognition from Mayor David Bailey of Paris, Ontario. The award celebrates the Village’s outstanding contribution to promoting African culture, fostering community engagement, and enriching the cultural diversity of the region. This meaningful recognition reflects the dedication of our volunteers, performers, vendors, and supporters who work tirelessly to create an authentic and welcoming African experience for visitors of all backgrounds. We are grateful for this honour and remain committed to building bridges through culture, education, and community for many years to come.
The Kids’ Room came alive with creativity and excitement thanks to the incredible talent of Fisayo, whose face-painting station quickly became one of the festival’s most popular attractions. Children eagerly lined up to be transformed into colorful butterflies, fierce lions, superheroes, and magical characters, each design carefully crafted with artistic skill and imagination. The smiles, laughter, and excitement on the children’s faces created a joyful atmosphere that families enjoyed throughout the festival.
Adding energy, mystery, and cultural excitement to the Village was the spectacular African Masquerade Dance, performed by none other than Fisayo himself. Dressed in vibrant traditional masquerade attire, he captivated audiences with dynamic movements and powerful performances rooted in African cultural traditions. Visitors of all ages gathered to watch, dance, and take photos, making the masquerade one of the most memorable and talked-about experiences of the festival while celebrating the richness and beauty of African heritage.
The heartbeat of United Africa Village came alive through our spectacular cultural dance performances, beautifully choreographed and led by our talented volunteer, Benita. Drawing inspiration from the rich traditions of Africa, Benita brought together dancers whose vibrant performances celebrated the continent’s diversity, energy, and spirit. Every routine captivated audiences, invited participation, and left visitors with a deeper appreciation for African culture. Thanks to Benita’s passion, creativity, and leadership, the cultural dances became one of the festival’s most memorable highlights.
